Collierville tapping the brakes on e-bike use

Collierville is considering restrictions on e-bikes, due to a state law that allows municipalities to set guidelines for the use of transportation means.
The new rules passed the first of three required readings at Monday evening’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, but the proposed regulations became increasingly restrictive as aldermen discussed it. More changes could be made before the final two reviews next month. The public hearing is set for Aug. 10.
