John Porter's proposed Quinn Ridge development failed to gain residential zoning approval from Collierville aldermen Monday night, effectively killing the project for now.

John Porter is appealing the Collierville Planning Commission’s rejection of his Quinn Ridge development to the mayor and aldermen. The plan is for 400 lots on 177 acres of family-owned land.

Fred Wortman, the former Collierville lawyer who tried to kill his wife three times, has been denied parole. He will not be eligible again for a parole hearing until 2026.
