Germantown may eliminate its holiday decorations ordinance as part of a resolution to a federal lawsuit.

Germantown isn’t quite landlocked and has a smidgen of land to annex.

The legislation, filed Thursday, Feb. 27, comes after the suburb’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted in October to begin the process of giving final say to the residents in a 2026 referendum.

The Dryve Cleaners was demolished this week. There are plans to redevelop the site but the exact vision is unclear.

Germantown’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen appointed a member to the suburb’s school board. It’s the third time in the district’s history that city leaders have gone through the process.

With the discussion of school vouchers beginning this week, suburban leaders said they are watching the events in Nashville and hoping the special session doesn’t mean approval of the controversial approach.

Friends remember the legendary baseball coach, who died on Sunday at the age of 68.

The legendary coach won five state championships and almost 1,000 games.
