Lakeland Prep high school has new principal

With the middle and high schools at Lakeland Preparatory splitting next year, the suburban district has selectedΒ Blake WaddellΒ as principal-elect for the high school starting this summer.

The appointment is part of a structural transition for the district with Lakeland Preparatory officially becoming two separate schools, a middle school for fifth through eighth graders and a high school covering freshman through seniors, beginning July 1.

Both schools will remain under the same roof but have separate administrative teams.
