A Millington alderman is pushing for the city’s chamber of commerce executive director to apologize, resign or be fired following an alleged argument about an upcoming LGBTQ+ Women+ softball tournament being held at USA Stadium.

Alderman Don Lowry is asking the Millington Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to take action against Chamber Executive Director Terry Roland because of a dispute with USA Stadium Directing Manager Kevin Kennedy.

“With the things that were supposedly said to our businessman, Mr. Kevin Kennedy — I asked (Roland) to apologize,” Lowry said. “I asked his board (to) talk to him, and he needed to apologize to the man. For what he said to one of our citizens, he needs to resign, be fired or apologize.”
