Millington approves raise for police, fire, city employees
Millington’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a $927,000 budget amendment Monday, creating one of the largest increases for city employees in the suburb’s history.
Police officers and Fire Department employees will see as much as an 11% raise while other employees will see an 8% increase in the Nov. 30 pay period.
“Our goal was for these raises to take effect in the holiday season,” said Frankie Dakin, city manager.
