Crosstown Mound development moving forward

Developers of the eight-acre bank of land in Midtown known as the Crosstown Mound are moving forward with plans after recently buying the land from the City of Memphis.
The City of Memphis sold the eight-acre parcel for $10 to Crosstown Partners LLC, the development team that includes Eddie Kircher, Ed Apple, Walker Uhlhorn and Gregory Love, on June 5.
The city also sold the parcel across from North Bellevue Boulevard to Crosstown Partners for $300,000.
Kircher said the team should have architecture plans from LRK Architects in three to four months.
Kircher said the development, which includes affordable housing units and a park, will be completed in three years once construction starts, depending on when the 25-foot-high mound of dirt on the site is leveled.
