Prep football 2024: Fairley aiming to take advantage of even-numbered year

Fairley High’s football team has six home games scheduled for the friendly confines of John P. Freeman Stadium in 2024.
But fifth-year Bulldogs coach Frederick Copeland has passed along instructions to Harold Rivera, the stadium’s longtime public address announcer: Clear your calendar for three more in November.
“We’ve got nine home games this year,” said Copeland, whose team begins its season Aug. 23 against visiting St. George’s. “(With) returning so many kids ... I think anything shy of being in the BlueCross Bowl in Chattanooga is a failure for us.”
