Mystery grocer a sticking point as board rejects tax plan for Union Depot

An attempt to enlarge the Union Depot TIF district in Bartlett hit some resistance on Tuesday night, Aug. 26, thanks to an unannounced grocery store.

The city’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted 3-2 with one abstention against an economic impact plan amendment for the mixed-use project that would have significantly expanded the existing Tax Increment Financing district.
