The contest that brought six new tenants to Collierville’s Carriage Crossing more than two years ago will return this year, hoping to secure new businesses to open next spring.

Pop Local is put on by Edwards Realty, the group that owns the suburban retail center near the Houston Levee exit of Tenn. 385. For the first Pop Local contest in 2023, businesses submitted their concepts to the company, and after interviews, social media polls and public engagement, Edwards planned to pick one business to provide free space in the center for six months.
