The injury status of Memphis Tigers quarterback Brendon Lewis is in limbo for a second straight week and for the third time this season.
Lewis has been battling an ankle injury he first suffered in a loss to UAB four games ago, causing him to miss nearly the entire second half of the Tigers’ upset loss in Birmingham.
He aggravated the injury during the fourth quarter of a blowout victory in Rice on Halloween in Houston, then gutted through the pain for as long as he could in last Saturday’s 38-32 loss to Tulane at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
