Lakeland board considers rezoning land along US 70

Several major projects are ramping up in Lakeland heading into the New Year, while the city mulls over ways to limit further commercial development on U.S. 70.

The Lakeland Board of Commissioners on Thursday, Dec. 4, discussed possible action for downzoning commercial and industrial properties along the highway — a major thoroughfare through the suburb.
