Germantown waits to change debt limit
City leaders have discussed the debt limit several times lately as Germantown Municipal School District seeks to make Houston comparable to other suburban districts’ high schools. (The Daily Memphian file)
Germantown did not change its debt policy Monday evening, Dec. 8, deferring the matter to its Jan. 26 meeting.
The resolution under consideration would raise the city’s debt limit by $17 million to $100 million, but aldermen will wait until after the holidays to consider it.
