Lakeland board talks change in government

Following a proposed change last month in Lakeland’s form of government, city officials will have multiple discussions this month on the matter.
The suburb’s Board of Commissioners on Thursday, April 2, held its second round of talks contemplating a change — suggested by Commissioner Connie McCarter — to a mayor and alderman structure.
The board also took its first step to prevent wine sales in future convenience stores.
