Long-planned development in one of Memphis’ older neighborhoods moving forward

A long-planned development of the Chelsea Neighborhood Center is moving forward, a move which could bring new life to one of the city’s older neighborhoods.

The Community Redevelopment Agency board recently approved KPS Development Partners as the developer for the mixed-use project on 1.5 acres in the Uptown Redevelopment Area.

The two organizations will now negotiate a redevelopment agreement which the board would have to approve.
