Germantown sanitation rates are going up despite some pushback

Germantown’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved a new sanitation contract with Waste Pro on Monday, May 11, meaning residents will see a fee increase this summer.

Prices will rise significantly, an increase that drew a heap of residents to City Hall, five expressing their frustration to the elected officials. All of them were opposed, but applause after their comments showed others present were against the measure.
