Historic Brunswick building gets new life as Brunswick Rail Yard restaurant

A group of local entrepreneurs is transforming a historic building just across the Bartlett and Lakeland city lines in the unincorporated Brunswick community, resurrecting it as a restaurant with an opening planned for next month.
The Brunswick Rail Yard at 5197 Brunswick Road sits just north of the CSX railroad tracks that mark the Bartlett border and a block west of Oliver Creek and the Lakeland city limits. The building on the west side of Brunswick Road has a rich history dating to the 1800s.
Now Mitch Harrison and wife, Norris Ann Griffin, along with Homer Daniels, Tammy Griffin and Marshall Wheeler are finishing an extensive overhaul of the space.
