Swankys Taco Shop will close its Germantown location later this month and combine operations at its East Memphis location on Poplar Avenue near Colonial Road.

The location on the western edge of Germantown will close for the last time at 10 p.m. Nov. 27, the business announced Wednesday on social media.

While Swankys’ lease at Carrefour wasn’t up until next year, the restaurant worked with the landlord to terminate the agreement early. Matt Wilson, MEM Hospitality majority owner, said the taco shop operated at Carrefour at Kirby Woods for nearly 20 years.
