Welcome to Inked, a column that notes some of the week’s commercial real estate transactions and updates in the greater Memphis area that may have gone unnoticed.
The Woodspring Suites Memphis Southeast sold for $8.1 million
Tunnel to Towers Foundation bought the 121-room, 43,504 square-foot Woodspring Suites Memphis Southeast hotel at 7060 Riverdale Bend Road for $8.1 million.
Tunnel to Towers plans to convert the hotel into Veterans Village, a veteran housing apartment complex. The developer will make minor renovations to create common area space, change the exterior paint color and place signage.
According to a Land Use Control Board application approved in March, Veterans Village will offer multiple administrative and supportive services for veterans, including employment counseling, financial literacy, legal advocacy, veterans case management and more.
The complex should be complete this summer.
