Inked: Lipscomb & Pitts sign comes off iconic building
Welcome to Inked, a column that notes some of the week’s commercial real estate transactions and updates in the greater Memphis area that may have gone unnoticed.
Lipscomb & Pitts building signage changed
After nearly 30 years, the building’s signage at 2670 Union Ave. Ext. no longer says “Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance.”
At the end of June, new white letters reading “Higginbotham Insurance” appeared at the top of the 139,388-square-foot building.
In 2020, Memphis-based insurance brokerage Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance was acquired by Fort Worth, Texas-based Higginbotham Insurance Agency.
