If you’ve driven down Lamar Avenue, you’ve probably passed a newly recognized type of industrial real estate — and investor demand for it may be driven by your most recent Amazon order.
The real estate product is known as Industrial Outdoor Storage, secure open-air sites typically used to park commercial vehicles, stage shipping containers or store heavy equipment.
And they’re popping up all over Memphis.
