Chicago agriculture processor closes part of Memphis facility, lays off 95
Chicago-based Archer Daniels Midland is closing part of its Memphis facility, ADM Southern Cotton Oil, and laying off 95 employees.Â
ADM, a global agricultural supply chain manager and processor, is closing its cottonseed crushing operations at 2782 Chelsea Ave. on Jan. 30, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
