Asian-influenced bakeries have hit Memphis
Drum buns, snow puffs, seaweed floss cake.
Bakeries with influences from across Asia are not-so-quietly making their mark on Memphis. The trend occurring nationwide is driven in part by social media.
In the Memphis area, bakeries such as Bloom Cafe & Bakery, Sweet Musings Bakery & Cafe and Tous les Jours, among them, are introducing diners to lightly sweetened cakes and savory pastries as well as self-service methods more common in other parts of the globe.
