For two brothers, backyard gin leads to new brand
Jack Perkins, left, and his brother Henry Perkins, right, started making gin in the backyard of their house on Waymar Drive in East Memphis during the pandemic. “We love the old London dry gin aesthetic, but we wanted a flavor profile that’s palatable for Americans — an old aesthetic with new world flavors.” (Brad Vest/Special to The Daily Memphian)
In the middle of the pandemic, Jack and Henry Perkins decided to make a gin with a flavor profile more palatable to Americans.
