Cold Stone Creamery opening in Cordova

A Cold Stone Creamery is opening at 2323 N. Germantown Parkway in Cordova.

The 1,649-square-foot ice cream shop will cost $320,000 to build, with new walls, ceilings, finishes, HVAC, food equipment and more, according to a permit filed with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development.

Fadi Abdallah, who is a partner with his brother, the franchisee, said the store will open in late March or early April.

Abdallah said he and his brother, who franchised three Marcos Pizzas in the area, considered many different ice cream and dessert franchises before choosing Cold Stone.

“We’re hoping that it will be a success,” Abdallah said. “As a consumer, going out there looking for ice cream options, there’s not that many.”

The brothers originally had an interest in Cold Stone after a family member in Chicago, who has owned a location for years, recommended it.
