Here are Germantown school board applicants’ thoughts on Houston High plans

Germantown Municipal School District’s Board of Education will have a new member by the end of the month as the suburb’s officials fill a vacancy.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, the city announced that seven residents will interview for the position, which is open following Dr. Daniel Chatham’s resignation

When city leaders established the municipal school district, they also gave the Board of Mayor and Aldermen the responsibility of appointing a school board member when a vacancy occurs.

Although 14 people applied, the aldermen expressed to the administration staff who they’d like to interview. The list was cut in half.
