8Ball & son launch local nonprofit to be ‘extra hands’ and, on Mondays, feet

Every Monday, a group of runners and walkers meets outside Cxffeeblack at 61 National St. at 5:30 a.m.
And it all started because of Memphis hip-hop legend 8Ball and his son, Lace Wooten.
8Ball, best known as half of the multi-platinum duo 8Ball & MJG and whose real name is Premro Smith, recently began the Gloria Smith Foundation, a nonprofit honoring his mother.
