Standing on the tarmac at Memphis International Airport on Friday, Dec. 5, Santa Claus waved to a plane filled with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patients as they arrived at the “North Pole” aboard the “Fantasy Flight.”

Children checked in at the airport, received special boarding passes and boarded a plane that taxied around the runway before arriving at a different gate, where Santa and other guests greeted them.

The trip included Christmas carols, games and a reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
