Happy National Candy Corn Day. It’s Thursday, Oct. 30, and here’s my tip for how to enjoy candy corn: Open the bag and dump it directly in the trash. You’re welcome.

Tonight, the Memphis Tigers take on another team of Tigers in their last preseason game. They’ll play the SEC’s Auburn, which ended its last season with a Final Four appearance.

Food pantries hit hard: Local food pantries are struggling to fill their shelves amid a SNAP benefits crisis.

ICE-ed out of school: Since ICE arrived in Memphis, some Hispanic students have stopped showing up to class

New limits: For the first time in Bartlett’s history, the mayor and aldermen are limited on how long they can serve

Where the Grizzlies eat: One Downtown restaurant has been fueling the Grizzlies for years.

Ja makes the Suns set: Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant came in clutch for a nail-biting win.

Guard times (er, hard times) for restaurants: Over the past few days, we’ve been looking at how restaurants are faring with the National Guard in town.

Caps off: Tennessee high-school student graduation rates are up.

Parked for now: McDonald’s isn’t lovin’ Collierville’s restaurant parking rules. And that may just be too bad.
