Memphis burger joint crowns competitive-eating champ

Champions aren’t born. They’re made.

And in this case, that champion is Brett Healey, a former Memphian who recently broke the record for eating the most deep-fried Oreos at Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint in Midtown.

“The feeling of victory and having fun with friends was worth every bit of stomachache that came with it,” Healey said.
