Hutchison returns to state final four behind Miss Basketball finalist Ava Jones
Thomas Jones has accumulated tons of good memories during his 14 seasons as Hutchison’s basketball coach. Chief among them, of course, was leading the school to its only state championship back in 2021.
But what happened last Friday will always hold a special place in his heart.
Facing a tough Nashville Father Ryan team in the quarterfinals of the Division 2-AA state tournament, Jones’ girls scrapped and clawed and battled all night long in front of a partisan home crowd and an amped-up student section.
