Group of Five playoff picks: Predictions for the Tigers
Tony Barnhart is high on the Memphis Tigers.
He is not alone.
Barnhart, currently a columnist for TMG Sports on SI.com, has made his pick for which FBS program will finish the 2024 college football season as the country’s highest-ranked Group of Five program.
With that distinction for the actual highest-ranked team at season’s end comes an automatic ticket into the new 12-team College Football Playoff.
“I’ve got Memphis as that team,” Barnhart said before speaking to the Memphis Touchdown Club on Monday. “I’ve got them in the playoffs.”
