How quickly can new Tigers coach put his recruiting skills to work?
Charles Huff will have significantly more resources to recruit at Memphis than he did at Marshall and Southern Miss, especially with FedEx Corp. investing heavily in the Tigers’ athletic department and NIL program and Memphis beginning play next season with major renovation work scheduled to be completed at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. The Memphis Tigers’ new football coach Charles Huff has built a reputation as an elite recruiter while working as both an assistant coach and head coach.
Huff is credited with playing a major role in helping recruit and develop current Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley when serving as Penn State’s running backs coach from 2014 to 2017.
He also served as the running backs coach at Alabama when current Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris was playing for the Crimson Tide.
