Loflin Yard-type project passes first Bartlett hurdle
“We want to see the younger population come in. That’s why we approved Union Depot,” Bartlett Commissioner Curtis Sigler said of the development near U.S. 70 and Stage Road. (Ziggy Mack/Special to The Daily Memphian)
The concept for Bartlett’s second-ever mixed-use project with a Loflin Yard-type business passed its first hurdle Monday night, Aug. 5 despite concerns of nearby residents.
The Bartlett Planning Commission’s unanimous recommendation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen focuses on a new residential development at 7157 Summer Ave. A portion of the 10.1-acre property is the former Bartlett Nursery.
