From The Heights to the ’burbs: Community builder Jared Myers to shape Bartlett’s next chapter

The City of Bartlett has named Jared Myers as its new economic development manager, reviving a position unfilled since 2006.
Myers moved into the new position on Dec. 1. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen resurrected the idea of someone to handle economic development in May. Some members of the board, primarily Alderman David Reaves, questioned the focus of the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce on promoting the city’s needs.
That led to the hiring of Myers, who is having to learn things at a fast pace.
