Fraser, Patton pull petitions to seek top elected town office

Stan Joyner has decided not to seek reelection as Collierville mayor, an office to which he was first elected in 2008.
Joyner announced the decision Monday morning, June 17, the first day to pull petitions for the Nov. 5 municipal elections. Within a short time of Joyner’s confirmation that he would not run, Alderwoman Maureen Fraser pulled her petition to run for the vacancy in the mayor’s race.
Joyner, 74, has spent half his life in public service. He’s served on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for 25 years and was on the Planning Commission for 12 years prior to that.
