Germantown Schools starts a new year, a decade after christening
Jason Manuel proudly walked around Forest Hill Elementary on Wednesday saying hello to teachers and families and fist-bumping students.
Teachers hugged the children, and parents snapped pictures. In elementary school, the first day is full of excited children reconnecting with their friends. Principal Zac Percoski made announcements over the intercom and gave an inspirational first-day charge to Forest Hill’s Fox family.
In some ways, it’s just the beginning of another school year. However, this one carries significance as 10 years ago Manuel and the community began their first day as the Germantown Municipal School District.
