The Standard sticking with condos and offices — but plans could change

Plans for condominiums and office space at The Standard development in Germantown could change, a consultant hired by the suburb said last week.
And all five of the city’s aldermen acknowledged that was the first time they had heard of such an adjustment to the plans under consideration.
The mention came during a Board of Mayor and Aldermen work session held with city staff to better understand a tax increment financing request by the team looking to redevelop the southwest corner of Poplar Avenue and Kirby Parkway.
