Germantown explores tuition for nonresidents
Germantown School Board chairwoman Rebecca Luter (left) said Oct. 7 that some were concerned that tuition fees could drastically affect the number students. Superintendent Jason Manuel (right) noted earlier this year that it could be hard on nonresidents to transfer and then get hit with a fee. (Patrick Lantrip/Daily Memphian)
The Germantown Municipal School District is considering charging tuition for non-residents living in Shelby County, but school board members want to look at the impact and hear from the community before deciding.
