Bartlett’s Quail Ridge Golf Course closing Saturday
The only golf course in Bartlett’s city limits is closing on Saturday after 30 years in operation raising questions about what is next for the property.
The final tee time at the Quail Ridge Golf Course, is 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, according to the course’s website at the time of publication. The course at 4055 Altruria Road opened in 1994.
“Even though I haven’t played golf in a few years, this is sad news,” said Gary Robinson, a Bartlett resident who estimated he played at least 600 rounds at the facility since it opened. “When it was in good shape, Quail Ridge was as good as any daily fee course in the area and better than most.”
On Wednesday, an employee at the golf course said they had no comment on the status or future of the course — a 6,600-yard, par 71 layout.
The nearly 200-acre course is up for sale and has the potential to be redeveloped in the coming years.
