Since 2021, hundreds of Starbucks workers nationwide have announced plans to seek union status, a partnership with Starbucks Workers United.

“Our core mission is about helping students have the ability to create wealth and one of the ways that we do that is through entrepreneurship,” Adrian Smith said. “Because we know that to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to possess a lot of 21st century skills that include communication, goal setting and problem-solving.”

The transaction is expected to close early next year.
