Coronavirus live blog, May 25: Shelby County reports 95 new cases, no new deaths

- Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
- Avoid close contact (within 6 feet) with people
- Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean

Hilton hosting drive-thru testing May 26-29
Drive-thru coronavirus testing will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, May 29 at Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridgelake Blvd.
The testing is being conducted in partnership with Kroger Health.
People interested in a test will need to use a virtual screening tool to determine their eligibility, then schedule the test by visiting http://krogerhealth.com/covidtesting.

Tennessee cases increase by 462, deaths by 2
Tennessee has 462 more confirmed coronavirus cases and two new deaths resulting from the disease, according to the state’s Department of Health.
That brings the statewide total to 20,607 confirmed cases and 338 deaths.
The 462 new cases come from 12,643 tests, a positivity rate of 3.65%.
In Tennessee, 13,073 people are considered officially recovered from the disease; 1,594 were ever hospitalized at any point.

There are 206 more confirmed coronavirus cases and 10 new deaths resulting from the disease in Mississippi, according to the state’s Department of Health.
That brings the total to 13,458 confirmed cases and 635 deaths.
The agency did not give a breakdown of county totals or number of tests administered on Monday.
Shelby County reports 95 new cases, no new deaths
There are 95 more confirmed coronavirus cases in Shelby County and no new deaths resulting from the disease, according to the Shelby County Health Department.
As of Monday, May 25, that brings the total to 4,404 confirmed cases and 93 deaths in Shelby County.
Those 95 new cases come from 1,761 administered tests, a 5.39% positivity rate.
In Shelby County, 2,974 people are considered officially recovered from coronavirus.

Tennessee cases top 20,000
Tennessee Department of Health reported an additional 356 coronavirus cases in the state Sunday.
Since early March, the state has seen 20,145 confirmed COVID-19 cases. A total of 383,576 people have been tested.
The state department says 4,336 cases are in Shelby County – an increase of 27 from the Shelby County Health Department’s 10 a.m. update.

Mississippi State Department of Health reported 247 new cases of coronavirus Sunday.
DeSoto County reports 461 cases and six deaths. Additionally, there have been 15 cases at long-term care facilities and two deaths in the northwest county.
Marshall County reports 69 cases, three deaths and two cases at long-term care centers.
