Sushi for breakfast? While that may be a common thing in Japan, it’s not here in Memphis.
The exception is at Kitchen Laurel.
Kitchen Laurel chef and owner Kevin Sullivan has taken classic breakfast ingredients and transformed them into a tasty sushi-style roll he calls the “Cake Roll.”
The dish is a true original and illustrates the fun and creative fare Sullivan offers at his Midtown eatery, which is open for breakfast and lunch.
