Buster’s Liquors & Wines will open its second location in the Ridgeway Trace Shopping Center on Poplar Avenue.

Buster’s Butcher, adjacent to but separate from its parent, Buster’s Liquors & Wines in the University Center shopping complex, is a 2,200-square-foot playground for carnivorous cooks.

“It’s gotten to be such a big deal where we’re going to put it that we’ve decided to put it somewhere else,” said Joe Lowery, market general manager for owner Northstar Memorial Group.

The new location at 734 Mt. Moriah Road is across from Gus’s Fried Chicken and along the same stretch as The Urban Gardener, Gibson’s Donuts and Garibaldi’s Pizza. 

At Red Koi’s upcoming Highland Street location, there will be a few tables for diners but the main focus will be as a take-out location. 

Since the neighboring Coming Attractions clothing store space became available, the restaurant is expanding with an area dedicated to carry-out orders.
