Wolf River Hospitality Group is moving its corporate offices to the shuttered Mesquite Chop House after buying the building at Forest Hill-Irene south of Poplar Pike for $1.3 million.
The company – which owns Pyro’s Fire Fresh Pizza, Levee Coffee and Creamery, Abner’s Famous Chicken Tenders and Wolf River Brisket Co. – will relocate its corporate offices to the property at 3165 Forest Hill-Irene adjacent to the Norfolk Southern Railway tracks.
Chad Foreman, founder, confirmed the move from their current offices near Walnut Grove and Germantown Parkway. The company has eyed the area for a corporate space for a couple years.
“It’s closer to restaurants,” he said. “We just think it is going to be a better environment for my staff.”
The site is 2.7 acres and has potential beyond the corporate offices, he said. While he excitedly notes there could be more on the site at a later date, he was not ready to offer specifics.
“The space and the bones of this place we think are great,” he said. “We definitely expect we will be doing something more than corporate offices.”
