Lance Tucker, who had a highly successful career in the Alabama high school ranks, has been named head coach of Bartlett's football team.

Tucker comes to the Panthers from Fayette County High, where he compiled a 76-31 record after taking over for his father, Waldon Tucker, who retired in 2011 as the all-time winningest coach in Alabama high school history. He led the Tigers to runner-up finishes in Class 4A in 2015 and 2017 and a runner-up in Class 3A in 2012.

Fayette County finished 9-2 in 2018.

"This is an exciting time for Bartlett High School's faculty, students and community," said principal Tim Jones in a release. "Coach Tucker's vision aligns perfectly with what we want for our students, community and football program. He believes in fostering a great school culture and providing an environment for students to learn and grow for their future pursuits."
