Sophia Surrett is a University of Alabama graduate, where she received her B.A. in news media and M.A. in journalism and media studies. When it comes to sporting events, food is important. So important that food specials seem to be one way local sporting events are trying to attract more spectators.
In June, the University of Memphis Tigers athletic director Ed Scott said they were going to try to offer a $7 value meal at the football games because he was concerned about families staying within budget on game days.
