Cooper-Young development approved for property-tax incentive

The developer of The Cooper, a $137 million mixed-use development in Cooper-Young, received a 20-year tax incentive Tuesday, Jan. 14.
The Center City Revenue Finance Corp. approved the payment-in-lieu-of-taxes for Cooper Holding Properties LLC, led by Chance Carlisle and Carlisle Development Co.
The Cooper will be on 5.8 acres at Cooper Street and Central Avenue with 250 multifamily apartments, 27 rental townhomes, a 125-room hotel, surface parking and a 325-space parking garage.
