Cloud control: Where do Shelby County suburbs stand on vaping regulations?

While Lakeland recently became the first suburb in Shelby County to enact rules on vaping in age-restricted, or 21-and-up, venues, the other suburbs vary in their approaches toward the practice and the location of vape or smoke shops.

While Tennessee’s Non-Smoker Protection Act of 2021 focuses on smoking and vaping in enclosed spaces potentially around other people, it exempts venues that cater to older customers and certain specified areas.
