At the age of 46, Rose is by far the oldest athlete at the meet — earning her place two decades removed from her last appearance.

Gabrielle Rose earned a semifinal spot in Sunday night’s 100-meter breaststroke at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, doing so, amazingly, at the age of 46. Rose, however, did not advance to the finals.
